Hi! I'm pretty desperate.
From what I can remember the cover of the manga was like this: It was on the riverbank where a boy and a creature (IIRC it was like bird- or penguin-looking) was sitting together.
The story follows the life of the creature living together with the family. The family was welcoming of the creature. I remember there was a chapter where they were eating rice balls(??) It was a comedy manga, I think.
