There's been a manga that I read a few chapters of some 15/16 years ago. I recently thought about it and couldn't remember the name of the manga since it's been so long, so I created an account here in the hopes that someone can help me jog my memory. I do remember a few details that will hopefully help someone in their assistance in my rediscovery of this manga and whether it had continued since then.
The manga in question had the MC either in charge of or a part of some sort of group rebelling against some sort of religious order that had great influence, possibly absolute power over the country. There was a group sent by this order to hunt them, and after failing their families were killed. In retaliation the group under the religion's control found the MCs hometown and massacred the inhabitants, with the childhood friend captured and violated by some sort of large humanoid, which resulted in her death.
The MC in turn set a trap for the enemy army and massacred them and captured the leader. The leader then explained the motivation for the massacre. The MC acknowledged it, and beheaded him before setting off with his group.
IIRC the MC kind of resembled the MC of Death March, but when I looked at the Wiki for the manga, there was no mention of such an event which I had described.
This is pretty much all I remember of the manga, so I hope this was enough info. Thanks in advance!
