Looking for specific isekai manga

I'm looking for a possible isekai manga where the MC is young and treated well by his noble/duke family up until he has his skills appraised. After it's revealed that he has no? skills, his father in particular treats him and his mother badly/neglectfully from then on. At least for a little while until the father has a change of heart after seeing the MC is actually skilled (lol).

The MC is someone that is very protective of his mother, perhaps due to something happening in his original life before being isekai'd?

Any help in finding this would be fantastic.

Thanks for the link, but unfortunately that's not it! It's pretty close, but it's not the one I have in mind.
I think the isekai'd person was originally from Tokyo, rather than another fantasy world. I think he was an orphan or his parents died young so he was mistreated by his remaining family in his original world before being isekai'd.

this one maybe? It doesn't quite meet your description from the Tokyo part but he is protective of his mother, reincarnated and the father is a jerk but is happy that he got a scholarship, it meant the father didn't have to pay money. Dad and one brother are particularly nasty.
