Wait, is Lord of Mysteries not a Library of Ruina thing?
Lord of the Mysteries is a western fantasy web novel written by the Chinese author Cuttlefish That Loves Diving and published on Qidian. (That's literally what this thread is about!)

Library of Ruina is an indie deck-building turn-based role-playing game developed and published by South Korean studio Project Moon. Initially released for Windows and Xbox One on August 10, 2021, it is a direct sequel to the 2018 PC game Lobotomy Corporation. and prequel to the third game Limbus Company.

OOOOoooooohhhhh...
Well my joke makes no sense then, just the ramblings of a mad man.

So after so long, only a crazy person commented here, sorry about getting your hopes up.

Hopefully someone who reads that story finds this, and joins you in this neat looking wiki you got going here.

Ok, let's just jump straight in: which forum regulars would be particularly well suited to survive in the world of LotM (purely based on personality and what you know about them) and why? Which path would they benefit the most from? And therefore, which forum regulars would ultimately end up as friends and enemies due to their best suited path?

You are allowed to choose a total of 20 potions. Given your answer above, who should be getting them (yourself excluded, and obviously one person can get more than one potion)?

Go on @Dverin_Oshiban_Duren; let your imagination run wild!

@Dverin_Oshiban_Duren Wait, out of a dumb sense of guilt of my silly joke in your forum, I went and clicked on the link for Lord of Mysteries you have.

You mean to tell me all this wiki is for a story that only has 14 chaps here? Well the remake at least, since the OG is not here in english at all.

Eh sure I'll read it, will probably finish it in 10 mnts.

Aww how nice. You didn't have to.

Uhh... Well it's actually more about the novel. That's why it's in the literature section. I included the others to be more informative and have some connection to the site.

Calling it the OG is weird looking at how it's treated by Tencent and the readers lol.
Just look at the True Creator's design:

Sorry for the late reply.

Man, I'm still in the early chaps, but damn does Zhou/Klein go through a lot of shit. (Not gonna go into details to avoid spoilers)
Hol' up! You're actually reading it? :meguupog: (or at least a little bit?)
Can't wait to see some of your thoughts and reactions. :smugnako:

Where and how are you reading it? I've never heard of "Zhou Mingrei". There's only one official English translation by CKtalon.
I can point ye to a cove to plunder for no coin matey. :meguusmug:

One tip I can give you right now is that you don't have to put effort into remembering any of the details about divination and rituals. The important stuff will be repeated anyway.
Also it will take a while for things to get more interesting (around chapter 70 or was it 100-something?)

Novelupdates shoddy fan tls I think.
I'm used to reading fantasy novels so I'm not having issues.

So to get it out of the way, I'll just ask you @Dverin_Oshiban_Duren

Is there a cool eye monster or eye related thing in Lotm I can use as a Pfp...? I know the things on your own pfp represent that in some convoluted way that I still don't understand.

I did have a look at some later entities and creatures, they looked a bit too... slit-like for pfp use. They'd look like someone put a weird looking vagina in a pfp to someone who didn't know what they were looking at.

I did see a thing that even the wiki says is a big spoiler for way later, so I won't mention it here.(I didn't get what it even was anyway, so by the time I get to that point I won't even remember what it was knowing me.)

@Dverin_Oshiban_Duren Cool thing about Lotm is that I can read spoilers, and still have no idea what any of it means, so I somehow end up not getting spoiled at all.
Ikr? At some point the author even apologised about being confusing to the readers but then he took it back
This guy is also called the True Glazer sometimes.
It's also because I'm doing some mysterious stuff to avoid spoilers.

Reader and Mystery pryer pathways have stuff to do with eyes. There's also the Sublunary eye but no eyeball monsters.
I don't know if there's anything with just an eye you can use as a pfp other than sacred symbols or actual eyeballs which got separated from their person.
But there's a lot of eyes so I'm sure we can find something... like the one in the ED, how about that?

No I have not seen the anime ED, since it will likely give actual context to scenes I have not seen yet and spoil things for real. I don't find looking at random concept art online with no context as spoilers.

Now watching a whole animated video? That's different.

What if I tell you that it gives absolutely no spoilers except for maybe a few teeny tiny and subtle ones? You can find it in the first post of this thread.

Yeah, you wrote something about it skipping a shit ton of context, and ruining the pacing, so I didn't want that to be my first impression of the story. I was gonna leave it for later as a "greatest hits" watch.

So I wanted to know what does the anime cover more or less.

Speaking of which, at what point could one see the anime without spoiling stuff from the novel? Can you give a chapter more or less?

Season 1 is all of volume 1 (upto chapter 213) minus the Qilangos arc.
I'd recommend watching it after you finish volume 1 because the donghua changes some things like the order in which things happen and skips or combines some minor characters.

Lotm feels VERY Nasuverse inspired, reminds me a lot of Nasu's style of story telling from Tsukihime and the Fate Stay franchise. I dig it.
It kind of feels like I am reading a spin-off of Sherlock Holmes from Fate Grand Order.
