@Dverin_Oshiban_Duren
Lotm feels VERY Nasuverse inspired, reminds me a lot of Nasu's style of story telling from Tsukihime and the Fate Stay franchise. I dig it.
It kind of feels like I am reading a spin-off of Sherlock Holmes from Fate Grand Order.

Wait till you get to volume 2 and 5 :smugnako:
There's a sequence that can summon people from history.

Once I started to realize that it is similar to Nasu's style of writing, I started to click more with how the world works if I read it with similar logic to a Nasuverse story. It helps me build a clearer mental image of the world.

The whole Dark abyssal world of horrors on the edge of reality, reminds me of the dimension of the Foreigners from Fgo, a realm of lovecraftian horrors, where reality starts to fall apart, sometimes with figments of our imagination becoming real, and possibly even being capable of harming you, it's original creator

I always did find the way they touched on these topics in Fgo to be lacking. Likely cause ultimately, they were just trying to sell you gacha waifus. But here, the whole focus IS that topic. It is not window dressing for some hot gacha waifu.

Wow I've heard praises of it but haven't gotten into it because of the sheer amount of stuff. Planning to watch the animations in order of release (that should be fine, right?)
The Lotm world (at the start) seems to be somewhat like this pic:

Oh yeah that looks accurate. Guess it's not a rare aesthetic.

That's making me even more interested :meguupog:

The problem with Fgo, the game, is that well, it is a GACHA game. An INCREDIBLY scummy and predatory one at that.

I would recommend just watching YT videos of the visual novel style cutscenes. The gameplay of the actual games is for masochists who like to be abused by the devs shitty gacha rolls and scummy FOMO mechanics.

It's better to start from the beginning because the donghua skips over a lot of content.
But if you watched all the episodes including the specials without getting too confused and don't feel like reading something you should be familiar with already at a slower pace then feel free to start right from volume 2 (chapter 214)
