I'm not a fan of Shiki's character, but this was a really good chapter. Kokkuri was integrated splendidly. It has no meaning beyond what you give it, but if the circumstances are just right, like here, it might seem quite powerful for a young mind, regardless of if you actually believe in it or not. It forced Shiki to think about the consequences.

It has been actual years since I last read this, so my memory now is fuzzy. If I do recall correctly, though, she got upset with other people specifically because they were male. Not just her rival in love. Upset at males specifically for being male.

Again, has been years.
