It's interesting, I just find it kind of sad. I'm not a big fan of emotional stories where there is someone that has passed away but is a big part of the story. I think it'd be interesting if the person that died came back to life as an Android with both the characters not knowing why and seeing them get used to the Android body and the emotional grief of one of them dying
