I expected a ridiculous reason for the whole conflict and the artist really delivered.

It seems that Zeus though Shuravan was only a toy for his daughter judging by his reaction. Nemesis on the other hand doesn't seems surprised.

That, actually explains a lot:
-Why the Dad is the stupid one,
-Why the Mom is the strongest of the two,
-Why Helene want Shuravan to be the strongest,
-Why Deathparta doesn't really care about world domination (instead focused on creating monsters for the heroes to defeat).

I love the comedy in this. The whole star "backstory" was hilarious and then when it had actual relevance to the plot/setting, it became perfect. 10/10 comedic exposition.
