Lowkey the story has been focusing on how fluffy, ideal and perfect their relationship is to each other that... well it's sounding like how their powers work. Simply, straight forward, convenient (initially at least).

I GOT IT, I was confused but I believe what has happened was, the reading of the stuff related to fake reality cause the inverse effect on the one tied to her, because their power is connected and based off emotional states, this was born through wanting to be closer to her other half leading to said other half experiencing her research
