How many tsubasas we had as we were young and we ignored then because we were fixed on himenos?
Gotta be honest here, i had a friend like tsubasa and she never came across my mind as waifu material, we ended up dating in our twenties but not bfore xd
@Bigg3_chees3 She probably heard it or read it somewhere, but doesn't understand exactly what it means. She's just thinks it's what a girl should say in that situation and so she's saying it.
@MarkMyWords Kids pick these things up far earlier than most people realize, but they don't fully understand what they mean. They hear them in a show, read them in a book or manga, etc. It's harmless, and a normal part of growing up.
I just had to clip that panel of Tsubasa looking awesome as a witch, although the way she's sitting is almost eechi:
Himeno is most likely just repeating something she's seen in a movie or a romance novel. She probably doesn't even know what the phrase "be gentle" is implying.
Manabi and Vmpslushie are right, in chapter 38 Himeno and Alice discuss a movie with woman shown in down-blouse cleavage shot clearly proposing sex and thought this was about kissing. She probably saw in another not age-appropriate for her movie a girl lying under boy saying that to him before fade to black happens (so to not keep age rating *too* high) and thought it sounded really romantic.
