Oh man, it frustrates me to no end how underhanded and manipulative Yukino can be (and how she keeps getting away with it). I have to admit that that makes her a formidable antagonist though. At least we know Kai is on Taeko/Inoue's side (and is unlikely to be deceived by Yukino) based on his actions near the end of the chapter and what he says to Taeko/Inoue earlier:

I'm really interested in people lately. Like whenever I meet someone, I always wonder what their personality is like and what they're thinking about.

I only worry that Yukino is going to frame Kai for assaulting her with a knife and drag him down into the mud like she did with Taeko/Inoue.

However, if the series' TV drama is any indication as to how this series will pan out, then I may very well eat my words:

… Yukino uses many despicable methods to stop [Taeko], and also snatches away Taeko's love interest Kai Masato (Hagiwara)... --Le Chateau de Jo

Unless they mean "snatches away" in a literal sense—I wouldn't know since I haven't watched the TV drama.

P.S. In the last chapter, we learned that someone—presumably Yukino—hired some guys to throw "sulphuric acid" on her for ¥500,000, but in this chapter, the police only found a tenth of the money promised by Yukino, i.e., ¥50,000. What's up with that? Turned out to be a typo—now fixed.

Ahahahahha.Straight to the point, I was hyped to see her going up front but damn, whole chapter was her getting pummeled down. That fucking needles in comb.

Mind you, this fuckass doctor was fine whether she lived or died. She said she wasn't prepared to act, was pressured into it anyway, then none of the people who pressured her can share the burden with her. Remember that the next time anytime anyone insists you do something you're uncomfortable with. (Also, "It's not like you to roll over and give up"?? BRO, it was her M.O. from day one!)
