I like how this chapter just confirmed that The MC makes a lot of assumptions from reading trashy wuxia in his old life. Like she gave him a 'gut piercing poison' but in this chapter it was revealed to genuinely be something that would give him a spirit root. I imagine his assumption about Elder Iron turning people into pills is also fake -- he probably actually trained them.
