Ignore uhhhhhhhhhhh789. This manga is not that bad. The storyline is good 6.5/10 in my opinion, character development 6/10 really good but its not shown that well as even though he explicitly states things his personality stays more or less the same changing only slightly, good overall character development though. Concept 5.5/10 good concept but overused. Art 6.5/10 good but not that good. Overall a little under 7/10 good but would not be my first recommendation. A worthwhile read if you are looking for something to read after reading better manga but can't find a good manga to read.

More biased personal opinion: overall 8/10 character development 10/10, art 5/10, concept 7/10, storyline 10/10

Don't undermine the hard work of authors. If you don't like it just don't say anything. You clearly don't know how hard it is to make a good manga/story. The manga itself may be mid but it is not to the point where I would call it bad. Also if you really don't like it that much why did you read it in the first place? Manga and manhwa of these genres normally are like this one so if you don't like it just find another genre. According to your description of how it is bad regression manga and Isekai manga is more suitable for you as you want a "main character" mc who is the one in control with an antagonist and a risk of failure. Virtual reality game manga normally don't have a risk if failure or antagonist and sometimes doesn't have mcs which are in control as it could be the "mc got lucky and from that point on his life changed" kind of manga where mc doesn't really have any kind of real skill and is most of the time just purely overgeared
