The MC looks kinda meh but works, but the FMC....... IT'S HORRIBLE, THEY MADE HER OVERLY CUTE,
I seriously think they forgot that she is supposed to be a beast that has killed tons of people, she's supposed to look fierce but a little bit cute like in the manga, not overly cute like in the anime

This is called being biased because you been seeing her manga design for way too long that you formed a wrong impression of what the author going for with her, but you forgot that manga isn't the source but the Light Novel, so if they were going for one, was going to be one from the LN which is she is more alike in the anime, specially with the latest Volumes where the art improved alot compared to Vol. 1

Nothing to say about the mc, because he do look bad, actual downgrade of the downgrade that the manga did already lol

Most anime versions look worse than the manga versions, I find. Sometimes the colour makes it better, but often it's more simplified.

Personally I think it looks a bit generic, but not too bad. Definite room for improvement, but watchable.

You're still being biased by the pure fact that you hate "overly cute girls" designs, the LN and anime convey how the author always described her better, she isn't supposed to look like a gremlin like here in the manga

That's not what being biased is, it doesn't make sense for someone who has killed a ton of people to look overly cute, it doesn't fit her, while in the manga she looked a little bit cute but also fierce, I'm not being biased I'm just saying it doesn't fit her to be overly cute and it just looks weird
Also the fact that I dislike overly cute girl designs is not why that I hate this design, some character fit the overly cute design but this one 100% doesn't
Also I definitely exaggerated the comment, I don't hate overly cute designs but I definitely much prefer non overly cute designs

It looks like 3 points of the spell circle collasped or were destroyed at the same time. Maybe he was actually too weak to power the spell himself, and somehow he'll figure out how to use the mountain to power it.

Dude, you're too stuck on your own thing, you're being biased because you been seeing her manga design for way too long that you can't accept any other design and this should be the only one for her, like it always happen with manga only people, you can't get over the fact that her LN and anime design is more alike to how the author always described her to be

And beside killing ton of people doesn't suddenly make you look "fierce", you may be the most idiotic looking person or a cinnamon roll and be a mass murderer
