Am I wrong, or did he suddenly became to much of a "happy-go-lucky" moron?

What was those stretches...?
Do I remember this manga wrong? I know he doesn't always have to be serious, but he sure seemed too immature for me this chapter.
Biggest threat yet and he only showed some concern, once.
And I don't even know if that should count, since he did those stretches that is stereotypical for characters that aren't actually bothered, before showing a face of concetration.

@GurryCurryBurry Novel is good, mangas always rush too much, the next arc actually is boring for my taste (Build a casino to buy the mistery box)
