On another note, I think you made a typo on page 2 upper left panel, aren't they (not shamiko cs) already on 2nd years? Because the TN says sophomore and 11th grade, which should translate into 2nd year in japanese school system

@fdmz: UK goes from 1–13 instead of K–12 like in the US, so UK 11th is equivalent to US 10th (sophomore) and Japanese HS 1st year (which only has the last 3 years; 9th grade is still in middle school).

@rabidvats ah i see, i guess it is a bit different from the japanese one (the japanese high school starts at 10th grade thus the first year of high school or freshman, meanwhile the us system high school starts at 9th grade i guess). Thanks for the correction!

I'm curious to meet this "demon" and especially curious where they were summoned from. Considering all of the demon clan members we've seen so far have more or less just been normal people living in the real world, was the demon inside Mikan summoned from a sealed space like Lilith or from some as of yet unmentioned demon realm?

Such a cute chapter that took a surprisingly dark and all too relatable turn... (if you take the concept of a curse and having a demon inside you as serious self loathing anxiety and/or ptsd)
I like how it handles these darkish story lines in a way that still feels dark and serious but is cute and happy at the same time.
Also anyone notice how Momo was suddenly doing well and enjoying herself whenever Shamiko was watching her?
Shamiko's tail often wraps round those she is worried about... that final strip, Momo seems to be more interested in Shamiko than the situation.

One of the most brilliant parts of this manga's writing is that it can switch moods DRAMATICALLY within the same chapter and not feel like whiplash or even feel all that jarring. As a writer, I can say that's the writing equivalent of badass motorcycle stunt curves. I'm pretty impressed.

Shamiko think that Momo is more pretty, even when others think that Mikan is prettier.

Shamiko and Mikan have same thought about Mikan curse and they want to help Mikan. Bit Shamikobstill think it is because they are nemesis. 😂

But i myself think that Mikan is better as a character than Momo, she is overall cheerful, friendly, and thoughtful, yet sometimes depressed because of her curse.
Compared to Momo that always in sour mood, and Lazy.

Momo was always in that school yet, she is known for aloof person that never talk to anyone, while Mikan can be friend with many other students just few days after transferring.

it is sad that Mikan prepared for leaving the apartment because of the paint incident.
