thanks for explaining my comments further
english is my 5th language so i dont really know how to explain things
No hate. 🤨 But if English is your 5th language why are you in an English comment section?

Lol 😆 I went to a comment section I thought was English. And I couldn't understand anyone. I honestly thought I was having a stroke. But it was just a different language comment section. Lol 🤣 🤣 🤣

I did not miss the last sentence of your comment.

You said "maybe"
--making the sentence conditional--and thus I affirmed it, including echoing your langauge in reiterating you are "the same".

There's nothing inherently wrong with that, either; assuming you don't also go making disparaging remarks out of overt hostility toward others at the same time.
Sure, literally it's conditional. Rhetorically, though, I wasn't using "maybe" to express genuine uncertainty. It was just a self-deprecating way of admitting I'm one of the idiots refreshing the comments too; that was the intention.

I was acknowledging I'm part of the same cycle I was joking about. I don't think dissecting one word was ever really the point.

And maayybee we've now managed to turn my throwaway comment into exactly the kind of multi-reply semantic debate I was making fun of in the first place, so congratulations to both of us.

Oh! so, a translator or interpreter. That makes sense. Thank you for your hard work. 👍

These is a joke. No hate. You are literally the definition of lost in translation. Lol 😆

I really hope that's not all there is to the drama between her and the deceased husband's sister

I can absolutely see why the widdow leaving the funeral would be a big deal in a society (presumably) as strict as Japan, but if the husbands side of the family was close to her at all, they should be understanding of her imo. Becoming a widdow this early (and probably unexpectedly) isn't exactly easy. Then again, it doesn't seem like she really keeps in touch with them, so maybe it's just the sister giving off a bad impression (although I'd still expect for there to be more reason to it).
Either way, I'd love to see the story focus more on that aspect. Otakei helping her overcome that guilt/past would be interesting, whether that results in them forming a romantic relationship or not. Gyaru x Otaku isn't exactly a new thing, so adding some nuance wouldn't hurt...

This ch shows she has genuine feelings for her husband and doesn't seem like it was marriage of convenience or arranged marriage.

Get people that don't like the mc being used for her to cope with her husband's death. Seems she still has feelings for the mc but hope we don't get another ch like this where she uses the mc to recreate memories she had with her husband.

The premise is lowk weird imo, it would be much better if they were firmly JUST FRIENDS during high school, not some ‘right people wrong time’ sort of thing it’s going for, makes it feel weird. Also the fact it’s only been like 1-2 years since the husbands death? Look not to shame her or anything, but you’re already moving on? Sure she hasn’t yet, but let’s be real this is a romance manga so she will… and that just feels so disrespectful and disgusting to me. Like how little did you care? 🤨 I don’t think she should grieve forever obviously, but like 3 years AT LEAST if you really loved your HUSBAND 😭 I don’t care that she’s a widow unlike these other losers in the comments being like ‘I want a virgin wife 🤓’ but it’s gross she’s moving on so fast.

I gotta stop opening the comments of this manga. So much yapping from these armchair psychoanalysts.

At this point in the story, a widow is confiding in an old friend, while he, in turn, feels inspired by her to keep pursuing his dreams. Comments warning about a possible "rebound relationship" fear something that hasn't happened; it is a projection.
you're right in the fact that they're just friends, but being cautious of a rebound is entirely possible given the portrayals in the story, it is not merely a projection. What makes me think this is the previous chapter where Tsubaki sees her deadex in Otakei that can very well give the idea of a rebound, and in this chapter she goes to the beach to reminisce about her dead ex with otakei this chapter following the events of the previous chapter and otakei even says "You're mistaking me for someone else". These worries don't come outta no where, there is no reason for the author to portray otakei in this role that makes him the dead husband

I do think it's weird that people are acting like a widow leaving a funeral early having an affect of the family of the deceased isn't something that would happen globally?
Imagine if your sister or brother died and during the event to pay respect to their life their spouse just leaves, no matter how logical you are and even if your brain tells you they're processing grief differently you would still be angry and upset with them because your brain would also process it as disrespectful.

Lol 😆 yet you still want my opinion. Aww thank you. 👍 Little old me affecting the people that are ignorant lol 🤣🤣🤣

Lol 😆 also that unsophisticated person thinks people want a virgin wife. Well Most people deep down do want a virgin because why compete with other partners. When you can honestly be their only partner. It's called loyalty no wonder everyone gets divorces nowadays. Lol 🤣 🤣 🤣

I dunno, the further along this goes the less I understand about what the author’s endgame is between these two.

She’s clearly still deeply in mourning and in love with her dead husband. Has he only been dead for a year? In any case she’s only beginning to process it properly.

Meanwhile the MC has a crush on her going all the way back to their time in school. She’s his current muse as well, the only reason he’s drawing manga. An irreplaceable existence.

The timing is just wrong for them to get together.
I agree. He feels like a replacement for her husband, sort of an emotional shoulder to rely on. I love my romance in stories, but for this one it just gives me an icky feeling.

Chapter feels bizarro. Like, the author threw a grenade with the last chapter but suddenly we're met with a balloon popping.

Like, yeah, emotional tampon, rebound, ghost of dead husband, all that stuff that makes it messed up. But, it's like, the author doesn't seem to feel that, so it's all WTF. There's no driving force in the characters that seems aware of, addresses or tries to fix that messed up shit. So it's like being gaslit with Schrodinger's sexual tension and conscience.

Maybe all the men in this manga are bonobos or something. That would make sense.

I was hoping this manga could hit a bullseye with such a delicate and sensitive setting (none of the other widow-heroine mangas could), but with the strange non-commitment of this chapter, maybe it's some kinda weird ragebait. Looking at the comments section, that's not too far an assumption.

I feel like people are conveniently forgetting the fact that it's been 2 years since bro died.

If nothing else, the ideal(IN MY OPINION) time for healing would be a couple of months from the present time before trying a new relationship.

And it doesn't seem like they're immediately jumping into romance between them, either!
They're carefully settling back into their old friendship first and that's perfectly healthy.

2 years? It took her that long to visit her husband's grave. That's very disrespectful. The huge issue is that this author doesn't understand pacing. It's all over the place. Her nonchalant saying her husband died after 2 years without her explaining is dumb. If it was a few months ago it would make sense because she is still shocked her husband died but after 2 years? Also the author doesn't know how the husband acted towards her. She said "I wish I took trips with him more" but later says "he always had a grumpy expression" one means she wanted more time while the other suggest that they fought all the time. The author needs a better editor to catch these very obvious pacing issues.

I feel sorry for whoever chooses to be your partner. Your loyalty last only a few months. Then you move on to another relationship. Yikes 😬

Ironically you're falling into the same pattern that her husband's family seemingly showed.

There are different ways of grieving, none of them particularly "right", and saying what she's doing his is "wrong" is pretty much what her in-laws have done.
Oh there most certainly are wrong ways to grieve.
Getting a train ran on her in "order to recapture the warmth she won't have from her husband" is sure as fuck a wrong way to grieve. Thank God author didn't write that for her.

I'm tired of this wishy washy "everything is shades of Grey, there is no right or wrong". Somethings are definitely black and white. Replacing your husband isn't quite black, but it sure as hell ain't grey nor white.

You gather with friends and family, share good memories and cope with each other, or dive into a hobby to distract yourself. Getting drunk and stumbling into an almost old fling ain't doing either of them any good. It will just lead to more pain and suffering. You don't fix suffering by inflicting it.
