Urgently needs some redeeming qualities to make him interesting as a character based in himself, not just because he's the inexplicable object of interest of a girl. Usually not a fan of Mc love interest having a dead lover. Hoping it doesn't drag out that long to get the backstory. Even though it doesn't seem like she's not thinking of her dead lover much but its clear she's still mourning her dead spouse by still keeping on the ring. Seems one chapters she was considering taking off her ring. I'm not sure if she liked the mc in high-school or not if the mc was same guy she was blushing at while making his sketch then it would seem she liked him when he was younger. Hope its not the case where her dead lover is like the mc and pretty much using him to be reminded of him.

At the very least seems there different potential love interest for the mc with having another artist friend. So could be the case he doesn't get with the fml.

Checking the ch the person she was with in the window scene in high-school was the mc so seems she did like him in high-school still don't know the circumstances of the deceased husband and if she truly loved him she atleast cared for him by not still taking off the wedding ring. I'm still not sure if she's currently spending time with the mc to get over her grief or if she still likes him so far nothing shown me that she's still romantically interested in him. She also might have more baggage hidden besides a dead husband get the vibe she has family issues too.

With a couple chapters out now seems the author will slowly piece together their backstory of why they never got together and her backstory with her husband.

Honestly thinking their backstory will be similar to this other story where a guy reunites with his ex after sometime.

I'm thinking the ml never had the guts to confess his feelings and they grew distant. Thinking she might had her own issues and found her husband in her moment of need and supported her. I think she currently still has some level of feelings for the mc but not sure to what extent its due to her needing him to help cope with grief and seeming guilt of what happened since recent ch suggest she maybe responsible in her husband dying or atleast his family blames her for it.

Seems currently both need each other to overcome issues for him to have the courage to restart his dream and for her to get over the grief and guilt of her husband dying. At this point its unclear if this will lead to them ending up with each other since so far the ml has another potential romantic option with his other fellow author.

somehow reading this manga made me feel like MC is just here as a Replacement, i might be wrong but if i already get that some sort of feeling then i probably wont like the manga even after explanations in future, author shouldve gived backstory with her husband too , like at first 5-10 chapters and not drag one's feet too much on this
