@mrmagestrate agreed. No doubt the ending was rushed. I would've like more cameos of the previous cast other than them being either wise guides or "curious wonderers".

More like everything was rushed from the beginning. Why introduce fake Arms if the essence of (original) Arms is never questioned? Guardians only mattered by their appearance and perceived "power level", never by their actual abilities, every fight like material for later toy merchandising, never a true struggle. All sorts of plot lines are added then cut (underground people, "oldest in history", 2 chapters and gone) or sped through. New character relations are thick like the singular paper sheet they were drafted on (even for the childish setting of MAR). Only good thing were the cameos, still too invisible.

I guess the series never took off in the popularity polls of its magazine, so the author didn't have the room to dive deeper into the story, and played it safe instead by cutting the series short. Unfortunate considering the level of the original series.
