There is no way this was the original ending

It looks very rushed or an afterthought, but the author insists he intended it this way from the start - vintage Aka.

At this point I've only kept reading to see what aka pulls out his ass next. The worst part is that there is genuinely good moments or set ups for something but they ruin it by skipping over it and doing something else right afterwards.
