Sadly it reminds me of my neighbor house before got demolished for hotel. The family had a family member with mental disorder. One day they sold the house and moved away, but that one dude with mental disorder kept coming back to their old house and lived at the porch. No matter how many times the family brought him home, he always came back. The family just paid the nearby neighbor to take care of him whenever he came back and felt hungry.
