Rocks breaking stuff fits nicely into physics, y'know.

It would have been better if had been a much bigger one, but hitting a hard-shelled object with another object of sufficient mass and force will cause internal damage. Heck, it's a good reason behind why maces were such good anti-armour weapons in medieval times.
