Hope that magic takes care of any impurities in the sword and Gol. Usually when a sword breaks you'd have to melt off and toss out the broken spot on the sword before trying to reforge it. Otherwise if try to reforge as is the "weakness" of the break will spread to the whole sword. Meaning the sword will break after just one clash against even a weaker sword like it suddenly got brittle or aged. Probably some kind of scientific explanation, maybe even a way could reforge the whole sword break and all, but with a blacksmith level of technology have to melt off break and a little of sword near break to be sure leaving weakness of break out when reforging although could add more material to make up for parts removed.
