So magic actually canon in conan universe ?

Seeing the art style change so much volume after volume is so jarring. It is so obvious this volume dropped after Detective Conan compared to the early volumes. And it might be because I have caught up with DC, but I prefer the early art style. Made it stand out much more. Cause when reading it, I think I'm reading DC instead. Also, the writing changes (at least I think it did)

Unfortunally no. In both Vol. 1 & 5 of Kaito Kid Trasured Edition, in the "Playback Episode" section, Aoyama stated clearly that magic doesn't exists in Detective Conan's universe. Furthermore, he said that Akako Koizumi herself wil never appear in it, for the same reason! And it hurts me, every time I think about it. To him Detective Conan's universe is a parallel one to Magic Kaito's, where instead magic actually exists, and they share some characters and events.
