You probably have the answer to your question already, since this comment is almost 1 year old already, but since I came across it, I'll like to answer, just in case. In ch. 17 "Akako's Delivery Service", Hakuba found one of Kaito's hair an did some lab analysis. He was able to determine that Kaitou Kid is a japanese male, who's likely 15-17 years old, has 174cm height and weights 58 kg. He doesn't have actual evidence to frame Kaito, like Akako herself with her magic mirror (?), but he strongly suspects him, ever since.
