@Escheron - Agreed, not to mention where she tried to slap him (violence ain't kosher no matter who is dishing it out). Doc's a stoic guy by nature whom doesn't like to burden those around him with his problems. It could a matter of pride, not wanting to appear weak in front of the people who rely on you and that you care for the most. If so, then it is definitely a shortcoming, albeit an understandable and minor one.
Perhaps we're lacking greater context or something was lost in translation, but this chapter only painted a picture of an insecure woman not being able to change her partner into what she WANTED him to be (rather than getting him to simply open up a little more), lashing out at him and then leaving when he was at his lowest, and now ridiculing and dumping all the blame for their relationship failing onto him.
I'm holding out hope that Doc and Sunya patch things, she comes to understand and accept Doc for who he is while slowing getting him to open up and rely on her, and she calls Ara (the ex) out on her bullshit.
