Fun fact, Alabama has a lesser rate of incest than California! Also, incest isn't anywhere near as big an issue as has been made out to be; it all derives from the bloodlines of European nobility at the time, where their family trees looked more like christmas wreaths; the continuous intermarriage of just those few noble families over dozens of generations meant that even though they might be several times removed from each other genealogically, they were much more closely related genetically (which is what actually mattered). That led the Catholic Church (who was also the judicial branch of government at the time) to decry and ban incest in general, to force those noble families to marry outside their bloodlines (more often, at least). It's affected society ever since.

If you’re referring to her not waking up then yes. I’ve slept through hailstorms and people trying to shake me awake but I’ll just keep sleeping through it all.

“Fun” story, I actually had a teacher try to wake me up in rather… physical ways but I slept through it all. The school ended up calling my mom because of it and she was furious with the teacher as she had warned her about what happens when I fall asleep and she didn’t like the ways the teacher tried to wake me. I ended up waking up hours later without knowing what had happened.

MC will have his own harem of girls while game protag will also have his own harem of girls. As of the last time i read, they are on friendly term with each other.

I think that worldwide, cousin or second cousin marriage is actually very common. Most of the world doesn't bat an eye at it.

And yeah, with today's mixed bloodlines, even a couple generations of incest (and by that I mean closer than cousins) wouldn't be a huge deal. Not optimal, perhaps, but you wouldn't likely end up with any significant mental and physical deficiencies.

I mostly find it funny how grossed out so many people are about it. It's like some people expect the baby of two cousins to fit right into the Fallout universe. I mean, it's not my cup of tea either, but it's not like eating rotten food.

Even back then it took many generations of consistant inbreeding to get to that state, and simply introducing new blood for a handful of generations (even if they were from other country's powers that had their own incestuous circles, so long as they weren't connected to their own) pretty much "fixed" most if not all of those persistant problems in their gene line; it's more about the depth of repetition than it is about any great variation in genome based on population. If you were to do back-to-back father/daughter or mother/son inbreeding, it'd take about five generations to get to the critical point where there WILL be defects in the 4-8 children that were the average range in those times, I believe. Brother/sister inbreeding can take quite a bit longer, because they can recieve completely different genetic markers from their parents, and cousin marriage is actually a degree of separation sufficient with simple genetic drift to allow for functionally infinite generations without issue from inbreeding, specifically (in short, the variance is enough that it's like the roulette of getting together with anyone else, genetically). We can actually see this in kennel club dogs, as many breeds have long since passed the threshold due to forced inbreeding through repetitive generations, to the animals' detriment.
