Did you link to/show screenshots of the raws too? Because speculation/theorizing should be fine tho i guess mentioning that you skimmed the raws might still be too spoilery from ppl,

Wouldn't having the whale suck up the pollen be really bad for its lungs?

maybe it can eat the pollen? it was 'starving' while in the air after all. unless it 'stores' it to spew out at a later period (then again it getting stuck to/clogged on its back wouldn't be an issue if so then again i don't think these authors ever go too all out on the lore/contradictions)

(If anything ,seems like it could be a good weapon like "store the pollen, and we'll have you release it in X city" or so to screw over competitors or so tho it just seems like a major inconvenience as opposed to anything too 'deadly' for now)

The showing of the blowhole in the panel where it sucks up the pollen suggests that it's not so much eating the pollen as it is sucking it into their lungs; if my elementary school whale biology is accurate, whales that consume microorganisms like plankton are exclusively baleen whales, who feed by swimming through ocean with their mouth slightly open, using their baleen to filter the plankton out of the water, so their lungs have nothing to do with it.

Even if the whale could spew the pollen back out, you'd think some of the pollen would remain stuck on the interior of its lungs, given that it had pollen stuck to its skin, and that's on the outside of its body and not a mucus membrane.

off topic but i also got told off because i said "thankfully it looks like this arc will end happily..." by a mod without using spoiler text. (another series)

i think for a mod to notice too they either need to be active there or for someone to report you. there was a troll in that forum that got into a fight with me so ig that's why i got warninged
