I am once again reminded that Americans have a deliberate insistence on mistakenly conflating gender bender with "trans", when the two have surface level similarities at a glance but are anonyms to the core.

Trans people are drawn to gender bender because it affirms and inspires them. The two communities are inextricably linked. While it's true the English-speaking trans community isn't a 1 to 1 analogue at all with the Japanese TSF gender-identity community, the two very much have a lot to offer each other if they approach the other with respect. Arguing otherwise is disingenuous.
