It was in the earlier chapters about men being unable to handle magical power, what I am worried about is kamakura getting a redemption arc by acting like being a sacrificial pawn was his entire plan to get the terrorist. I doubt it will with how solid the characters have been so far, but it feels like he's gonna get it with that last comment and strange stoicism by the former research head
