This universe's Mami should probably just get married with no kids. Birth rates are declining in Asia because that's what couples are doing more and more often.
Plus, they generally can't afford kids anyway, both money and time wise. Asia, the west, and other developed nations are slowly starting to learn that if you make work hours too long, pay too low, and expenses too high, people can't afford to have families.
The only reason people had so many children in the past is because land was cheap / free, there was a lot of it, anyone could get a job farming and not have to worry much about food and rent, and extra children were not only cheap, but were a benefit (free labor on the farm) not a hindrance.
