Cute chapter. A li'l sad how relatable it can be. Even though im Ace, not so sure on the Aro part ut I get possessive about friends which can likely be seen as a burden.

Shion is a lot healthier about it tho lol, she cares about them getting along, partially for her magical girl fantasies I imagine, a bright and extroverted one and a mysterious and introverted one combo is common in series after all.

I really hope Meita gets to see that he has fans tho cuz I feel he wasnt only practicing his smile but doomscrolling as peeps compared Majeri to Uniepie. It's sad to see.

Also am I the only one kinda sus that Meita's Contractor hid from the other? Wonder what it could be setting up. Either Meita's contractor is like secretly not good, or Uniepie's or they just knew each other and their personalities dont mesh lmao.

I initially read it as "Nune is as introverted as Meita is", and didn't think much of it beyond that (plus there was a lot going on with Meita and Shion that was my focus for the chapter).

But it could be something more nefarious, potentially, though I want to believe that Eniepi's companion isn't "secretly bad" or something.
Maybe they have history that predates them meeting our MGs and there'll be a sideplot that involves them having to rectify and mend their own relationship. Would be a neat parallel to what's going on between Majeri & Eniepi, if their magical companions also are in need of help in resolving some standing dispute or hurt.

I get what the other comment’s saying, the trend of love interests always going like “never talk to another person of the opposite sex” to their partners is frustratingly common in Japanese media. Though at least in this case the jealousy’s kept limited to Shion’s internal struggle, and she’s fully aware it’s not a healthy mindset to have.

And the stories seem to recognize that being possesive is a bad thing, but they have their cake and eat it too because the partner ends up going "I know you backed down and said it's fine but I'm going to withdraw from the opposite sex because I don't want you to be uncomfortable".
