I hate that media as a whole tries to depict girls as only ever feeling jealous when someone they like has other relationships than them. It's just a very negative way ‏ of thinking to be teaching to people. It's basically saying if your friend gets other friends you should be mad at them. That's not how you have healthy relationships. That's not a normal emotion to feel, even for someone you have a romantic interest in.

almost relieved that Eniepi isn't a guy as well. It'd be a tired gimmick pretty quick if every new one introduced was actually genderbending upon transformation.
Her gap is interesting, though, especially if she really is putting on a performance. But I like most that it seems to come from an earnest desire and mindset that Magical Girls are supposed to be "always smiling and saving", and that she rejects Majeri because of Majeri's "cold" demeanor.

That said - I fully understand Ayame's worry over Shion potentially leaving him for another Magical Girl. I didn't expect that Shion would freak out over Ayame being taken away from her; wanting to be Majeri's "number one" makes sense on some level, but her getting that worried and possessive is a neat direction that I think does well to push them closer together, even as she's excited over the idea of more Magical Girls showing up.

Thanks for the TL. This series is starting to go in interesting directions.

Isn't quite common and relatable, though? When you're awkward at making new acquaintances, it's easy to get possessive of your special friend, and hard to get used to spending less time with them.
I liked the depiction of the internal struggle: overthinking, having dark thoughts, and hating yourself for having those thoughts.

It's just that recently I've noticed that a lot of media that targets girls depicts your friends succeeding as you losing.

It sounds pretty bad if these media do teach people such things. I'm not getting that vibe here, seems like they're just struggling with their feelings, and maybe they'll learn to get along.
Also I remembered that Shion is a BIG fan of Majeri and magical girls, which in turn might be not be so healthy with how intense she gets regarding her oshi. I wonder how important that aspect is going to be, I kind of brush it off as comic relief.

I get what the other comment’s saying, the trend of love interests always going like “never talk to another person of the opposite sex” to their partners is frustratingly common in Japanese media. Though at least in this case the jealousy’s kept limited to Shion’s internal struggle, and she’s fully aware it’s not a healthy mindset to have.
