I kinda expect we're being lead to assume this might be someone from that other world, but I kinda hope she's just another girl who's misunderstood by those around her, and they can bond in their mutual alienation and find some commonality that sees them fulfilled.

Given the setup of "I'm lonely and have no friends here" over these last three chapters, I'm fully expecting the New Girl is going to become a friend/companion for our Returned One - just hopefully it will happen very soon, and not leave us in anguish waiting for misunderstandings or tension to resolve itself.

What is New Girl is a Returned One from a different isekai world?

that would also be kind of awesome if I'm honest. If our FL just makes a group of new friends (Party?) of individuals who are all Returned from their own individual Isekai... that would be a very cool gimmick for this title to explore.

All with their own lives, things they have to process and overcome, but they all are able to help one another work through the struggles they face coming "home", and finding camaraderie and solace in the secret they share.
And they all have their own ML sibling/best friend figure, and they all get together in a sort of "support group" and help out with logistics and stuff (like transport and money and stuff) - and they all also support one another, and their shared struggle of having a younger sibling/friend who was Isekai'd and came back changed.

Man, now I want this way more than any other option.

Im kind of surprised they haven't leaned into her having more of a language barrier from the 10 years of being in another world and country. They've touched on a couple of things and concepts that she is unfamiliar with but I would expect even more than that from being a 5 year old and living in a other world for that long.
I guess depending on if she was granted some kind of translation magic over there doing the conversion for her she could still have automatically learned Japanese while still communicating normally in that world, or some sort of brain language conversion when transferring worlds as those things go.
If they had gone with her having only the Japanese skills of a 5 year old and having learned another language completely It would have made for an even stronger reason for her being a shut in as she wouldn't be able to communicate normally either. Though that would apply to her family too which was maybe more of a hurdle than was wanted to be conveyed in this case.
