My opinion of this story may change depending on what the author thinks counts as "losing your virginity".

They better not be the type that believes the dumb outdated idea that only hetero sex counts as losing your virginity. :pout:
... Dude they just said that your roommate is supposed to help you with that, obv they don't mean hetero sex ._.

Also this is a yuri manga, and I'm pretty sure that the slut who has no magic on her is a lesbian.

I apologize for my silly little rant, it's just that I have been caught by surprise before by yuri/yaoi manga suddenly leaking out Japan's outdated views on sexuality and ruining the story.

I have seen more than once the dumb topic of "gay sex does not count as the first time" in supposedly gay focused manga, and I hope so dearly this story does not do the same crap.

That sort of attitude is increasingly less prevalent even outside of queer focused media in Japan.

Contemporary yuri tends to deal with issues around sexuality pretty head on and with an explicitly queer lens. Look at how Arioto has the love interest work at a lesbian bar or how Wataoshi has an explicit discussion of sexuality.

If the magic reflects this idea that gay sex doesn't coutt, we'd expect the narrative itself to troat this as strange or outdated, and this seems unlikely given all the context clues that gay sex is how you're expected to deal with this magic.

I mean if the topic does show up, it would probably be there to be criticized and/or serve as opposition to the characters.

So really it should be fine. Nothin' to worry about :3

All you have to see is the name Hakamada Mera to KNOW ABSOLUTELY that it will not go hetero in ANY WAY. Hakamada is one of the Yuri Goddesses and would probably rather be drawn and quartered and then flayed alive with knives than to draw het in one of her yuri manga. (she's gay herself, btw...)

good thing this is a cute fluffy comedy otherwise I would expect some horrible sexual violence type stuff to be directly said or implied on why some of them come in without magic given that they are either middle schoolers or high schoolers
