Ooooh that harkens back to actual vampire history. The first vampire novel (that used vampire staples more familiar to the modern idea of a vampire) was Carmilla, a female vampire who preyed on young women. This book was released before Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Neat to see that the author retained the lesbian vampire trope and actually played around with the period blood as vampire snack question.
