S2 will be bad when telling politic stuff. Mostly it s skipped, like in vanadis, they skipped a lot

@lezarx0 depends on how many chapters there is going to be, if its 12 they will skip a lot of it, if its 24+ they are going to explain a lot + animate double seven hen arc as well.

@MaterialBurst they wont. It s not because how many the eps has but anime with narrator to read politic stuff circumstance (like in hard talk about trading or war) can be suck. In anime, conversation is used a lot because it s more convenient (too many monologue recited by narrator in mid conversation could be bad). But at politic, understanding (to hear thoroughly), is required more. so without dialogue, watcher cannot get what is going on. The spell in mahouka is already hard and confusing, politic could be more.

Narrator may only be need at explaining troubles's background.

It will be fine. As an adaptation there will of course be quite a bit dropped as compared to the novels. The main storyline about the parasites and Lina being sent to Japan to track them down should be easy to adapt. There's lots of action scenes, from the initial battle between Lina and Alfred Fomalhaut through the climactic battle at the end. I especially look forward to the Miyuki vs. Lina battle. Political scheming doesn't really show up until the very end, and it's not particularly hard to follow.
