@ShidoInsho I also prefer reading manga with the suffix. But based on the anime, most characters don't use suffix. Tatsuya and Lina don't use -san for each other. Miyuki also don't use -san for Shizuku and Honoka. Though Mizuki does say Tatsuya-san.
I know I'm late, so I don't expect any change. But maybe something to keep in mind if you're translating other Mahouka manga.

I believe her "brainwash" has been canceled at this point. It happened in the anime season 1. I don't remember the episode, but I think between 21-23, when she was at the hospital.
And from my understanding, she didn't get brainwashed fully, but her dislike was amplified. That's why she still hates him.

You are thinking of a different girl. This girl was put under a type of brainwashing magic that is permanent and is more about influencing her thoughts.

Basically, she looked up to Tatsuya and thought he could do anything.

So the dude used the world's most powerful brainwashing magic to make her think "He could do anything, so he could have saved your sister and chose not to do so".... and then, brain washed her again after allowing her to stew in that thought to make her think "He didn't save my sister, so he's a selfish jerk who only cares about himself" and so on....

And after brainwashing her for a few months, Tatsuya met her.

And it's basically still effecting her and can't be removed because it actually changed her thoughts. The only cure is actual therapy, but nobody feels it's worth doing anything about cause she's harmless and other than being a bit annoying to Tatsuya, there is no harm, also, it's motivating her to be better and view him as a rival.

And so, despite how annoying it is, it actually makes her a stronger ally.

What I meant was if they could detect a brainwashing on that guy (Sekimoto), then they could have detected it on Chiaki too. But since they never said anything about her, that means she was never brainwashed. They probably wouldn't let her go to the thesis competition venue if she was.

And if you also read the Honor Student/Yuutosei manga, they added a bit more on how the other engineers, including Chiaki's sister, was envious/afraid of Tatsuya's capability. It's very logical for Chiaki to held a grudge too for making her sister depressed for failing her athlete.
However, the intensity of her hatred was enhanced by Zhou's manipulation.

But well, this is my inference, so I'll just agree to disagree.
