So let me explain a bit about skating terminology on skating culture a bit.
Flips are generally classified as flat ground tricks in skateboarding, this translates well since the difficulty of flips are illustrated well in the chapters.
Another one that is pretty sick when it is depicted is Plants and Air tricks. Both are typically done around Quarter pipes when you can get enough air. Not all skateparks can let you do crazy 720 Benihana grab, this will depend on how much speed you can get before hitting the Quarter Pipe or Ramp.
In Skating term, we divide skaters in 2 categories, Vert or Street. Vert skater generally has trick set that gains air and make use of the Half Pipe or Deep bowl to its fullest. Street skater generally have simpler trick set that is tricky to do in some scenarios, such as the handrails on your usual commute and stuff.
If you think you are going to try skateboarding or any extreme sport, always get a safety gear! Those video of people not wearing helmet while doing these tricks usually ends relatively poorly to your body a lot of times. If you can practice on a gymnasium or skatepark, once you are 90% consistent with your trick, you can try to move on.
