it's been explained by the translator in the comment section of an earlier chapter, it's because the series just doesn't focus on romance, and it leans a lot more into subtext, it's apparently a lot more about the fantasy adventures our maid has than anything else.

Also call me a paranoid bat but...doesnt Ruktoria look like Rimu? Could it be her mom sent her there sensing something might befall Orsela and because Rimu couldnt find her, her quest became "useless" and thats how she caught the raccoon express

Probably to explain why Orsela so OP. Her mother nurture both sister with her "Holy Mother" skill and one became the princess and the other ends up with no aptitude for other stuff other than maid but still OP

that said if her father is the prince (or "a" prince) you'd think even if her status is technically 'lower' as a maid she'd still have like a group come with her as opposed to her being on her own (even if she got transported? to the wrong place initially)
