Huh. I didn't realize those veil things in front of Leiji's eyes were actually just bangs. That's quite the haircut.

Also, the way Balam completely undercut the worthless teacher's grandstanding with his entrance was fantastic.

Anw, Balam sensei is so COOL in this chapter. The thing with that broken tube maybe lead to 'return to the origin' creatures like that glutton pig of 13 crowns

That seems unlikely, since that "beast" was a high ranking demon that had been experimented on by Baal. In general, I feel like people on this forum throw around Return to the Origin way to frequently, when it seems like it's supposed to be a fairly rare and problematic thing.

It makes me wonder if that's what Azazel would be like, if not for his encounter with Iruma at the start of the school.

Nishi chose such a perfect villain for Balam to deal with. Completely opposite to his nuturing nature. I also love this section of chapters for expanding the world and giving us some interest into the other demon king canidates. Despite his maybe crude original introduction, he cares deeply for those around him, his selfishness expands to those in his care and wanting them to be safe which is a greed I am particularly fond of when it comes to characters. I also like that Clara's brother isn't some flat goody toe shoes of the family, he has some depth to what he likes and what he is willing to do.

TL;DR
I love Iruma-kun's world buillding and story

I knows it's a fictional creature ofnthe netherworld, but that's no fun way to think! If the serpent is an abyssal one, how's it fine being both outside of the water and without the abyssal pressure?
