If Iruma when he was a small child of 4 years saw crime, violence and murders in this manga series, this would mean that in the main manga series Iruma led a life of luxury and opulence, before emigrating to the world of demons.

On one hand, I am so emotionally devastated (and delighted because the drama is delicious) and I'm dying to see the reactions of everybody else because I just know they're not going to forgive Azz for a long time. On the other hand, Ifrit was already about to pull the trigger. If Azz hadn't shot Iruma, Ifrit definitely would have- and wouldn't have missed his vitals- so in a way, you could also argue that Azz technically saved Iruma's life in that situation.

The reason his dodge powers didn’t activate is because his brain perfectly calculated the optimal safety and decided that getting shot non-lethally by asmodeus was the only way to survive, as otherwise he would’ve been surely killed by Ifrit, even if he’d dodged both shots.

just a reminder that Mafia!Iruma does have his dodge powers, it was showcased during the paintball stuff after all, this was just a matter of his trust being betrayed that it didn't work

Absolutely loved the development (page 36 yaoi vibes notwithstanding ), I love seeing the reaction of Azz to Ifrit's "sacrifice one to save many" versus Iruma's "Save everyone" types of justice (if Ifrit even has any type that is).

This chapter really sets the ground about how different it is compared to the original series, OG Iruma would never pull a gun on someone especially after making them believe he is harmless, second, In the original series, NO ONE WOULD EVER GET SHOT. Absolutely NO ONE, not even the most minor character and I am absolutely thrilled about where the series would go from here.

nah, mafia!Alice would do this.

in main manga, Alice lost to Iruma and effectively went full devotion to him, while in mafia AU Alice has been raised to prioritise "justice" above all else. Iruma is making him question what this "justice" actually means now, but he's not reached the point of absolute devotion like demon!Alice did, so him shooting Iruma but missing his vitals due to this state of confusion he's in is a perfect fit for his characterisation here.
