I find that I like this spinoff a lot because I have the main manga to compare it to, so there's the excitement of "how will Hiroja spin [canon thing] into the Mafia AU?" than I have the excitement of what new thing comes up next.
So my hot take is that this spinoff isn't any better than the main manga, it's only as good as it is, because it's building off what the main manga establishes, like the personalities of the characters, or the factions and such.
Agreed 100%. This spinoff is excellent, without a doubt, because Hiroja-sensei is doing an outstanding job so far. That said, I believe most of us enjoy this even more because we can compare it to the OG Iruma (which is also excellent in its own way, as Nishi-sensei has demonstrated enough times she can make a intricate and interesting story, while developing a huge amount of side characters.)
So yes, both manga are excellent in their different ways.
Nice to see Robin, Marbas, and Balam again. That Waka is Kiriwo, without a doubt, lol. Excited to see the Six Fingers again.
Am I the only one who is at awe every chapter because of Hiroja-sensei's skills? He draws so many dynamic poses, which I think it's quite uncommon for a mangaka. Having this series being a monthly surely was an excellent choice, based on its top-notch quality.
Thanks for the TL as always!
