I have mixed feelings about the chapter: this subsidiary group is a bit too much fantasy-action-shounen-like for what was introduced with the Babel family earlier.

nah I think enjoy this quite a bit too, especially because Iruma has alot more control as mob boss over the political landscape.
In the main series, as a child without any responsibility, he doesn't really have that. Events happen around him (not that he doesn't have any agency or that his actions lack weight in term of narrative consequence)

Not that, that is bad writing (the opposite actually!)
But I can see why one would prefer this one though.
I do think that a large part of the enjoyment comes from the fact that this is an au.
Azz's entrance for example would not have that kind of hype without us knowing who he is.

This is just a preview how badass he will be as demon king.
Ok, I decided! The story will not end after he became demon king (yep, I can decide it in my delusions)
