First off, they never really needed any humbling, they did this because of baseless rumors.
Second, a bunch of them NEARLY DIED, because of that Six Fingers psychopath.
This exam is a fucking mockery of their entire ethos of raising the next generation of demons.

Its still part of the test. Even if they didn't plan for it, a big part has been reacting as needed and keeping going. The exam wasn't over, so they needed to keep going and get it together. Very useful to have in the future
