I was thrown off a bit by the mention of Canola flowers. Canola was developed in Canada in the 1960's and 1970's, as a deliberate variety of rapeseed breed to avoid certain undesirable traits. All Canola is rapeseed but most rapeseed is not Canola. It is a-historical for there to be canola field; it would not have been a-historical for there to be rapeseed fields.
