Witches can visit the human world, but regular humans cannot visit Alstromeria.
I guess it has to do with witches having an ability to cross worlds that regular humans don't have?

Consider the following:
Witches with contract => extended stay in the human world
Witches without contract => weakening then getting "transported" back to Alstromeria

This is just my guess but witches need some sort of anchor in the human world, lest they get drifted back to where they came from. Hence the need for a contract magic with a human, to keep their existence anchored in this world.

Ange used a spell to teleport from Alstromeria to Earth and said she never learned how to go back. Humans can't use magic so that is probably where the difference lies (and Witches don't appear to have a spell to teleport something from Earth to Alstromeria or Lila and Ange don't know it).

Shiranami has been on Earth for multiple years despite no longer being a student so it does seem that having somebody on the other side is a requirement for being able to stay on Earth and you can't be forced to return if you do. Almost nothing about Alstromeria has been explained yet and I'm assuming that'll come closer to when Lila's exchange is going to end and they might try to find a way to get her to stay.
