@Rudezki (Spoilers for those who havent watched the anime) Goro pretty much gets nerfed every arc before he goes pro to keep it semi fair. Komori not being the catcher in Season 1, Season 2 him having to relearn how to pitch southpaw, then him not being trained as a pitcher for most of dream island. Season 3 he has to deal with his foot injury. If Goro wasn't nerfed he would have pretty much just destroyed everyone in Japan (before going pro).
