I was already amused by the chapter overtly trying to force the dots to be connected by having her prod him to look slightly more like manaka each page, but the way it short-circuited the pattern by repeating that line from their childhood instead of finishing the bit is what really nailed it.

I just want to point out that twins don't work like this. Identical twins have the exact same genetics and therefore the same sex.

No don't lie about it! It's a giant losing heroine flag! You're setting your twin brother's route!

I'm going to pretend she discovered the hidden True route- the supporter side character whose only failing is he doesn't believe in himself enough. HE'S an archetype and doesn't realize it.

Koichi in JoJo was a side character until he realized he wasn't. Plenty more examples out there but that's a recognizable one.

manako priobably knows what kimura saw on manaka's phone. he knows manaka better than anyone. and see's how she reacts to kimura instead of ei-kun. a farce to be with kimura. since she had never been open with a guy or people in general. manaka probably didnt realise it herself until recently.
