Agreed. But on the other hand, it's already heavily implied that Kimura has a backstory, and a couple chapters ago we at least got the detail that he lives with only his dad. If there's a metanarrative element to his backstory, it could be that he didn't have one until he started interacting with the main cast, and since then his backstory has been spontaneously generating itself in-universe as he becomes more central to the story. Being aware that his memories are being rewritten/expanded on the fly certainly could be quite troubling, to say the least. But to be honest, I'd be surprised if the authors attempted that sort of twist.

What's wrong with describing ancient people's as more primitive? They had less developed technology and a much more restricted knowledge base. By most definitions that would be called primitive, no?

If someone from a thousand years from now came back in time and called us primitive would you be able to argue against that? And then if someone from 2000 years ago went back a thousand years and called that person primitive would they be able to argue against that? So then the question arises if every one is primitive then what does it really mean to be primitive? The whole modern idea of what primitive means comes from British colonial propaganda where they claimed that all the people they were colonizing were primitive Savages that were inherently Dumber than the proud intelligent British despite the fact that technology is not a linear scale. For example it took the Europeans until the 18th century to figure out how to work with Platinum meanwhile the Aztecs had been working with Platinum since before they had a written language.

Here's 2 things that I liked about the blackout scene.

1. While the three were cliche-ing it up, Kimura was looking around and was about to bail but Manaka caught him because she "doesn't want to lose sight of him". So he switched plans and led them towards the emergency light he saw. Now, whether Kimura knew that it was a planetarium or not is up in the air.

2. The narration in the Planetarium. Obviously the Summer Triangle (Vega, Altair, and Deneb) is refering to Manaka, Ayame, and Ei; but then comes a random star on Kimura which is then followed by a short conversation about how stars that are visible are the one that gets named. Which, for me, shows that Kimura doesnt just see himself as a random nameless star, but one that isn't even visible except. Which makes Manaka's moments of 'seeing' Kawashima nice to see.

Really love how things are going in this series. It's nice that Manaka confessing was done in a random chance that she took control of without Kimura's help (her evoluition from Chapter 5 to now is terrifying). While it may look like she's on the path of the winning heroine, it also looks like she's speedruning her losing heroine status.

As someone that wears glasses, I can confirm that I have no idea whether or not people would notice when you "changed" glasses, because I haven't had friends since middle school. But Manaka and Manato have different glasses, and I kinda feel like they should've noticed that.

Dude, these people uses that word in the currently defined meaning and you keep trying to tell people that they meant something else that they don't inted to say.
